Pee-eew

Hello everyone!! It has been a while since I have posted any projects. I have been making them just haven't had time to post. So today before I get ready to go to work I decided to share one of my favorite cards I have made recently.

I got this skunk from create a critter cricut cartridge. My mom wanted me to make a mean but cute card for my uncle. He has a very good sense of humor so we knew this wouldn't hurt his feelings.

I can't remember any of the measurements for this card.
I hope you enjoy it.

My Pink Stamper Design Team Challenge

Hey everyone!! Today I wanted to share with you my project for the My Pink Stamper design team challenge. She has 2 openings for her next design team and is accepting projects from her followers that would like to be part of her team. How exciting!! The rules of the challenge were simple just make a card, scrapbook page, or any other project with the cricut, the twist is you had to use her favorite colors, which are pink, green, and brown, then you got to chose one more color of your choice which was purple for me.
Okay on to my project. I was playing around in my craft room yesterday and I decided to try to make something different for this challenge. So I made a shape box at least that is what I'm calling it. It was very simple to make, after a little trial and error that is lol.

So what I did was picked my image which is this cute strawberry from the simply charmed cartridge. I cut it out at 10 1/2 inches. I cut the base image of the strawberry twice so that it would have a bottom. Then after a lot of trying to figure out how to make the box part of it, I decided to use the square box from tags, bags, boxes and more cut at 8 3/4 inches.

I used the cuttlebug and swiss dots folder to give the strawberry a little texture. I also used vintage photo distress ink and inked the edges of the green and tattered rose distress ink for the rosy cheeks. Then I put together all the layers of my strawberry. I scored and folded all the parts of the box, and put it together with scoretape. I then used scoretape again and attached the bottom at top of the box to the strawberry.

I hope you all enjoy this project and stop on over to The Pink Stampers website to see all the amazing projects everyone else has entered.

Christmas Cards

Merry Christmas everyone! Today I wanted to share with you the Christmas cards I made for everyone I work with. All images were cut from the Winter Frolic cricut cartridge at 3.5 inches I think.

All cards are the standard A2 size which is 4.25 by 5.5 inches.

All the paper is from the paper studio, I'm not sure the name of the packs but one is more country and the other is more bright colors.

Most of the sentiments I did on the computer, printed them out and cut them to fit. For the HO! HO! HO! I actually used a stamp that I had and cut the HO! HO! HO! in to different parts it just looked better than one all the way across.

This one I used a stamp from My Pink Stamper's stamps, I think its from the tweety hoo puns but I'm not positive.

I hope everyone enjoys my cards, and I would like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays.

Birthday Card

Hello Everyone! Tonight's post is a card I made for my niece Maddie for her 7th bday. I used create a critter cricut cartridge, because it is one of my favorites to use. I cut the cow out at 3 inches and the bow is from the accessory function on the hedgehog page, it was cut out at 2 inches.

I added a jewel with my i-rock to the center of the bow, and added stickles to the horns, hoofs, and end of the tail just to make it a little more girly.

I used an ek success punch, I don't know the name of it but it is birthday candles and I thought it would be cute to use that as the grass just gives it a little something different.

I used the I love moo! stamp from My Pink Stamper's stamp set more punny licious.

Now to explain a little why I used this stamp and the cow for a bday card. I sometimes call my niece Maddie moo or moo moo. I dont know why just something me and my sister have called her since she was a baby. Anyway I was having trouble coming up with what I wanted to put on her card and I was going through my stamps and seen that one and knew right away what I wanted to do.
I hope you enjoy this card.

Bieber Fever

Hey everyone! I don't know about you but every child or teenager in my life is obsessed with Justin Bieber, especially my cousin Shelby. So for her birtday I decided to make her a card that incorporated Justin Bieber.
I have heard her say many times that his favorite color is purple, so I used two shades of purple for this card. I got the card from the wild card cricut cartridge, the letters are from the george and basic shape cricut cartridge.

I couldn't find a stamp that I thought really went with this Justin Bieber inspired card so I just printed off the you're a star from my computer. Then I inked up the edges of it with purple chalk.

I hope everyone enjoys today's card.

Baby Card

Hey everyone! Today I wanted to share with you a giftcard holder/card my mother asked me to make for a neighbor's daughter who recently had a baby boy.

For this card I used K & Comapny Itsy Bitsy Baby Boy paper pad, for the mat on both the outside and inside. The blue card base and blue for the giftcard holder on the front of the card is just some I had in my paper stash. The giraffe was cut from the Create A Critter cricut cartridge at 2 3/4 inches.

I created the giftcard holder using Inkscape and then cut it out using Sure Cuts A Lot. The giraffe's head is keeping the holder closed. The ribbon and buttons are some that I have in my stash.

I had cut this giraffe I put on the inside to go on the front but after I got it cut I realized it was to small. After I added the two mats on the inside I decided it still needed something and this giraffe fit perfect.

I hope you enjoyed my card for today.

Throwback Thursday Challenge

Hello everyone! Today's post is for the Throwback Thrusday Challenge over at My Creative Time. This weeks challenge is to simply use any older cartridge and make any type of project you want to make.

I decided to use paper doll dress up. I have been wanting to make a halloween card and I figured now was the time. I cut this witch out at 3 1/2 inches, and used peachy keen simple sallies stamps.
The card base is cut at 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 inces and scored at 4 1/4 inches. The spider paper is cut at 5 1/4 x 4 inches, that paper is from cloud 9 design seasonal pack. I got this pack at Joann Fabric, it has fall, halloween, and Christmas paper in it. The paper is very thin and I wouldn't suggest trying to cut it in the cricut, but it is great for mats on cards. The tag is made using an ek success punch and purple cardstock.

The last few touches I added were some black ribbon, the stickles on her hat, and of course I had to use my iRock and add a little jewel on the green piece around her neck.

I hope you like todays project.

Ashley :)
