My Creative Time Throwback Thursday Challenge

Today I have a project for Emma at My Creative Time's Throwback Thursday challenge. This week's challenge is to use a cricut lite cartridge and bling. I used the four legged friends cartridge for this turtle. I think he is just so cute. I used some stickles on the flowers on his shell for the bling.
The thank you is from one Emma's stamp set So Grateful For You. I can't remember the name of the paper pack that the background paper is from, but the rest of the paper and card base is from papertrey ink. The twine is some I had in my stash.

I hope you enjoyed my card for today.

Father's Day

Hello bloggers! I know I have been away for a while, but work calls. I have gotten several projects done in the past few weeks, I just haven't had time to post them. I decided today to share the father's day card I made.

I used craft card stock for the base, and vintage cream for the mat. I then used the polka dot basics stamp set from papertrey ink. First I stamped the polka dot outline, to make the background then used the solid polka dot to fill it in. I used barn door, wild honey, and walnut stain distress inks, and a blue memento ink pad to fill in the dots. I then used some versamark and went over each dot and then used clear embossing powder just to give it a little something extra. I then used vintage photo distress ink to go over the entire background to give in a more distressed look.

I used the alphabet cartridge that comes in the cricut expression 2 to cut out dad. I used terracota tile, ripe avocado, and dark chocolate papertrey ink paper. I felt like it still needed something so I used some twine and a button from my stash on the bottom.

I hope you all enjoyed my card today, and hopefully I will have a few more projects to post in the near future.

Graduation Cards

Hello bloggers. I promised to share with you some graduation cards I made. I finally took pictures and loaded them to my computer, so here they are. I have 4 family members that are graduating this year 2 from high school and 2 from 8th grade. I only have three pictures because two of them are graduating from the same school and same grade, so theirs are the same.

All the cards have the same style. I will use the blue and yellow card as an example for giving measurements. Each one is a standard A2 size card, which is 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 inches. The bottom yellow mat is 4 x 51/4 inches, the next blue mat is 3 3/4 x 5 inches. The top yellow mat is 2 1/4 x 3 1/2 inches, the bottom yellow is 3 1/2 x 2/ 1/2 inches. The white piece that is stamped on is 1 3/4 x 3 1/4 inches. The pattern paper is 3 1/4 x 2 1/4 inches. The hat was cut from everyday paper dolls cricut cartridge at 1 inches, I think.
All papers except for the pattern paper are papertrey ink. The colors I used are summer sunrise, enchanted evening, spring rain, vintage cream, true black, and pure poppy. The pattern paper is a double sided paper by TPC studio, the pattern paper on the second card is the back of the pattern paper on the top card.
The stamp is a stampibilities stamp I got at Hobby Lobby, I used memento black ink to stamp it. The stamped piece and the hat are both poped up. These cards are kind of heavy and would probably require extra postage, but luckily I will be hand delivering these.

I just love how these cards turned out, I just started playing around one day and out came these cards. I hope everyone has had a great weekend.

Cupcake Card

Hello bloggers! Tonight I would like to show you a card I made several weeks ago. About a month ago I went to CKC St. Louis, while I was up that way I stopped at Archiver's it is the closest one I have and I just love that store. Anyway while I was there I found this stamp set from Inky Antics that you use with their honeycomb paper.

In order to use these stamps you stamp the image on the honeycomb paper and cut it out according to their directions. Once you get it cut out and have the card folded the way they say in the directions you simply adhere the image to the inside and when you open the card you have a cute pop up surprise.
There was a cherry stamped on top of this cupcake but I decided to add a little red pompom I think it just really helped set it off. The base card, and brown mat is paper from papertrey ink, the honeycomb paper and stamps are both from inky antics, the ribbon is just some I have in my stash. I also used a cuttlebug folder on the brown mat, I'm not sure what the name of that folder is.

I hope you enjoy this card today. I will be back in a few days to share with you some graduation cards I made. I just love them they turned out super cute.

A few projects.

Hey bloggers!! First up is a set of notecards I made for one of my nieces teacher for teacher appreciation week. I used create a critter cartridge, the stamp and paper are from papertrey ink, the flower and ribbon are both some that I just had in my stash.

I made a set of 5 with envelopes to match. These cards measure 3 x 3 inches. The green layer is 2 3/4 x 2 3/4. I think the bird was cut at 2 3/4 inches also.

This is the first card I made with my new cricut. This little guy is from the just a note cartridge that comes preloaded on the cricut. The background stamp is from Emma from My Creative Times stamp set Fun Borders, which you can order by going HERE. I did the background by stamping it 4 times with versamark ink then used clear embossing powder.

Once again all paper is from papertrey ink, the twine is from the twinery and the button is one I had in my stash. This card is a standard A2 size card so it measures 5 1/2 X 4 1/4 inches. The blue layer is cut at 5 1/4 X 4 inches. The little bear I think it is was cut at 3 3/4 inches. I hope everyone enjoyed the two cards today.
