Throwback Thursday #8

Hi everyone! This post is for the throwback thrusday challenge with Emma at My Creative Time. This week's challenge was to make a birthday card using the celebrations cartridge. I do not have the celebrations cartridge so I used the forever young cartridge to make the flower. I also decided that I would try to make a card I have never made before which is called a gate card. I think it turned out cute.

The base of the card is cut out at 8 1/2 x 4 1/4

It was scored at 2 1/8 and 6 3/8

The pattern paper on the front was cut out at 4 x 1 3/4

The white square on the front is cut at 3 x3 and the yellow mat is cut out at 2 3/4 x 2 3/4

I cut the flower out at 2 inches.
After I had the pattern paper on the front flaps added I made the white square and yellow mat for the front. I attached the yellow mat to the white then stamped Happy Birthday! on the yellow in black momento ink. The stamp came from a set I got at Joann Fabric. I then added pop dots to the flower and added it to the yellow.

The last thing I did was added two pop dots to the back of the white square and attached it to only one side of the card, so that the card can open.
I hope you enjoyed this card.

Monkey Pillow

Hey everyone! So today I wanted to show you a monkey neck pillow I made. I made three of these as Christmas presents for my three neices. All three of them loved these pillows. I think they turned out really cute.

I used a pattern I bought at JoAnn Fabrics. The pattern called for some type of soft material I cant remember what it was called but anyway I couldn't find it at any of the local craft stores that sold material. So I decided to go with fleece. They are really soft and are great pillows to take in the car for a long trip or to just lay on and watch TV.

Hope you enjoyed todays post.

Hair Bows and Headbands

Hello everyone! Tonight I am going to show off some of my hairbows I make. First up is this adorable korker bow. I made this from grosgrain ribbon that I baked in the oven, then cut down to the size I wanted each curl to be. I then tied them all together with a piece of string, and attached them to a lined alligator clip.

These bows were made using 1 inch ribbon (I think) they measure approximately 4 inches across. They are called pinwheel bows. They are attached to lined alligator clips.
The next bow I will be showing off are these 3 inch pinwheel bows that are perfect for any girl's hair. These are all also attached to a lined alligator clip.

Last up is this headband I made with a plastic headband, and brown and pink grosgrain ribbon. I also added a little bow on the side just to give it a little something extra.

If you see any bows or headbands here you would like to purchase please visit my etsy shop. There is a link to on the right side column to get there. I have all of these bows plus many more.

Throwback Thursday Challege @ My Creative Time

Hey everyone! Today's post is for the Throwback Thursday challenge over at My Creative Time. The challenge was to make something with an animal theme.

I decided to make this monkey card that says I think I'll hang on to you. I just got the stamp a few days ago at hobby lobby.

My card base is the standard A2 size card which is 5 1/2 x 4 1/2 inches.
The blue mat is cut out at 5 1/4 x 4 inches.

The monkeys were cut out on the cricut using the create a critter cartridge at 3 1/4 for the big monkey and 2 1/4 for the smaller mokney. I used pop dots to pop up each of the monkeys.

I used the vine from the accessory function on the monkey and welded two of them together on my gypsy so that the vine would go all the way across the card for the monkeys to hang from.

Name Blocks

Hey everyone! Today I am going to show you some name blocks I made. The first set I made I used some wodden square blocks (they are flat on the back) that I got from Hobby Lobby. I painted them black, then with my cricut I cut out the letters that would go on each block out of pink vinyl. The last step I did was I stapled a piece of black with pink polka dot ribbon (not shown in picture) to the back of each block so they could be hung on the wall.
The next blocks were made using actual wodden blocks. A friend of mine wanted to make these as a gift for a girl who had just had a baby. We painted the blocks brown, then using the cricut cut out the letters and the polka dots, using pink, purple, and white vinyl. The final step was to wrap the ribbon around the sides of each block and tie it on the top. I think they turned out very cute.

I hope everyone enjoys the crafts for today.

Happy 4th of July!!!

Hey everyone! Happy 4th of July!! Today im going to show you some things I made for the 4th. First up is this cute invitation I made for my sister's 4th of July party. I used a file from svgcuts.com and used the Sure Cuts a Lot program to cut the fireworks out with my cricut. I also used a firework stamp to make the background. The sentiment was made using a small peice of paper and a Happy 4th stamp I got in a little package of stamps from Joann Fabric's (I think). It was only like a $1.00 if I remember right.

Next is the container that I added some vinyl stars to. I cut the stars out using the cricut and the George and Basic Shapes cartridge. I am going to be making a fruit salsa and cinnamon sugar tortilla chips to take to my sister's party.

I hope you enjoy my crafts for today!!

Pillow Case Dresses

These are some pillow case dresses I made for my neices. They turned out super cute. I used cotton material I had in the closet (it dosen't take much material to make one of these). I hope you all like these I know my neices did.
